My name is MJ and I’m the host of ‘Britannia’ here on Voyager Radio. I’m relatively new to the radio game, having started my journey through the airwaves at the start of 2025. My biggest influence when it comes to music was my dad (Big Al). When I was growing up the cassette player (kids, ask your parents) that was a fixture in our kitchen in the 1990s would be blaring out bands and artists such as Queen, Billy Idol, Dire Straits and Bryan Adams (to name a few). After he sadly passed in 2012, I discovered his long-forgotten Vinyl collection in the loft, and in that moment I gained an instant love for this format.
During my formative years, I was always at live music gigs and festivals all over the country. I loved every minute of it.
In my time on the airwaves, I have created some shows that I’m really proud of. Following the death of Ozzy Osbourne (who I absolutely adore) I spent hours creating a two-hour tribute show. This was probably the most successful show that I ever made and due to the demand from listeners, I ended up creating three specials, which spanned a total of six hours and I’m really proud of that series. The Live Aid 40th Anniversary Special was also a show that was a lot of work behind the scenes, but it really paid off.
I broadcast from Studio 17 in Town, City.
